PCW is planned and run entirely by volunteers! We would love to have your ideas, input and energy included in the process. Below we outline all of the areas where you could contribute.
Join The Princeton Community Works Planning Committee
- Determine Workshops
- Surface ideas for Workshop Speakers
- Decide on Theme
- Create Ideas for Finale
- Discuss design of program- opportunities for networking, engage and connect, workshops and perhaps short sections on self-care- mindfulness, breathing, yoga. etc.
Join The Internal Communications Team
- Send out planning committee meeting notices, notes and minutes
Join the External Communications Team
- Drive potential attendees to registration site
- Maintain public website – create and update content, add photos/links, technical management
- Add marketing content to Whova
- Create and publish all social media assets (FB, TW, LI -group and page)
- Draft and distribute press release to media list
- Post to community calendars, FB and neighbor groups
- Manage video creation for use in outreach
- Use email marketing to reach potential attendees; manage external lists
Join the Speakers Team
- Work with PCW Chair and Planning Committee to finalize workshop offerings and determine workshop titles
- Manage communications with the Speakers
- Edit workshop descriptions submitted by the Speakers
- Collect and edit resumes/bios submitted by the Speakers
- Coordinate with Introducers & Tech Team Leads to create a “workshop team” (i.e. speaker, introducer, tech host)
Join the Introducers Team
- Recruit & train introducers
- Coordinate with Speakers & Tech Team Leads to create a “workshop team” (i.e. Speaker, Introducer, Tech Host)
- Prepare Thank You Notes for speakers
Join the Engage and Connect Team
- Create activities for the Engage & Connect sessions
- Recruit E&C facilitators for breakout rooms
- Train E&C facilitators on activities
Join the Tech Team
- Create Zoom Links for Workshops and Engage & Connect sessions
- Integrate zoom links
- Recruit Tech Hosts
- Set up training for backend users
- Registration troubleshooting
Tech Training and Volunteer Management
- Train Tech Hosts to manage workshops
- Serve as Tech Hosts for Engage & Connect
- Work with Speakers and Introducers Team Leads to create “Workshop Teams” (i.e. Speaker, Introducer, Tech Host)
Join the Keynote Team
- Source ideas for the keynote speaker/activity
- Liaison with Keynote speakers/activities
- Work with Tech team on requirements
