We’ve all heard the crowdfunding success stories: over $5 million to teach coding to students, $330,000 for a regional Girl Scout office, and even $55,000 to make potato salad. But there is more to this increasingly popular method of fundraising than just launching a campaign on Kickstarter or Indiegogo. Explore what nonprofits need to know about crowdfunding to be successful. We will cover:
• An introduction to crowdfunding and organizations using it effectively
• The steps involved in running a crowdfunding campaign
• Considerations for selecting a crowdfunding platform
• Strategies for engaging your community with fundraising efforts
