This workshop will provide an overview of significant issues nonprofits should address when working with paid staff and volunteers.

Whether you are new to volunteer management or want a refresher, this is for you! You’ll learn proven, practical methods to find and attract volunteers, and then get them off to a good start and keep them engaged and motivated. If you can’t bring in the right volunteers for the right openings, and keep them coming back, you won’t be able to deliver on your mission.

In this workshop you will learn how to engage your organization in the development of a forward-leaning, collaboratively designed strategic plan. The planning process will proceed from the identification and examination of challenges and beliefs, through the creation of a meaningful mission/purpose statement, to specific goals and action plans. We will also address plan implementation, monitoring progress and effectiveness of the plan, and making timely adjustments.

Many nonprofits will be impacted by the required adoption of numerous and complex new
Accounting Standards Updates resulting from the new tax laws. To assist with transitioning and implementation under the new guidance, this workshop will review evaluation and disclosure standards for three key new financial standards effective in or immediately following calendar year 2018.
