Way to Pivot!
Covid, and subsequent challenges facing nonprofit organizations working to help people in need, have made it necessary for organizations to adapt to changing and expanding needs as never before.
An example of an organization that made such a creative pivot is Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Greater Mercer County. Understanding the expanding problem of food insecurity, and the inability of many clients to access traditional food pantries, the group brought a food truck into their program to help reach people in their home neighborhoods.
According to Executive Director, Michelle Napell, the truck makes stops in various neighborhoods in Mercer County, reaching people unable to drive to distribution centers.
