A strong nonprofit organization demands strong, innovative leadership. Harvard Business School identified four essential governance competencies as: board leadership, strategic stewardship, performance measurement, and financial oversight. This workshop will provide a framework to help you identify some critical issues of concern to board leaders:
• the clarity of your mission
• the need for strategic planning that includes transformative thinking, such as value-added board leadership processes and organizational performance measures
• the value of structuring and managing important alliances
• the necessity for financial sustainability through financial compliance
